With the 2026 NFL Draft officially over, the Buffalo Bills have already started signing several undrafted free agents to their 10-member rookie draft class. Still needing a few more roster spots to fill, the Bills already have a few names in mind, and some of those players have relatives who also played in the NFL.

While the Bills had the great fortune of drafting former UConn receiver Skyler Bell at No. 125, it couldn't hurt to bring in some added wide receiver competition, as well as other areas of concern for the coaching staff to address.

Five undrafted free agents ready to show their talents

1. WR Ja'Mori Maclin - Kentucky

The Bills wanted to keep adding depth and competition to their newly revamped receiving room, and signed Ja'Mori Maclin as per Tom Pelissero at the end of the draft.

Just like his older cousin, Jeremy, Ja'Mori came out of Kentucky as a wide receiver looking to create his own legacy in Buffalo. Jeremy was a receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles and then for the Chiefs, despite injuries that affected his career in Kansas City.

Ja'Mori is built like the current Bills draft pick, Skyler Bell, at 5-foot-11, 191 pounds. He played college ball at three different schools, starting his undergrad at Missouri and finishing his undergrad at North Texas before completing his graduate degree at Kentucky.

Despite a breakout second year at North Texas, where he racked up 1,004 yards receiving, he rarely had the ball thrown to him at Kentucky. The young Maclin completed just 26 catches (13 each) in his two years at Kentucky.

In 2025, it was a small sample of what he could be in the NFL, as he made only 13 catches for 189 yards in 10 games. Still, the Bills feel that if they utilize him more, he could return to his North Texas form and possibly be a multiple 1000-yard receiver.

2. WR Max Tomczak - Youngstown State

The Bills found their next undrafted free agent wideout by signing Max Tomczak, as per Ryan Talbot. The Division II standout really made a name for himself en route to being named a double All-Missouri Valley Football Conference First Teamer. At 6 feet, 195 pounds, he put up almost 2,000 receiving yards in his last two campaigns, which was a team-best.

He is the nephew of former NFL quarterback Mike Tomczak, but he wants to carve his own path as a receiver rather than be a quarterback like his uncle.

If he makes it in Orchard Park, he will have an opportunity to join Andre Reed as the next great Bills wideout after starring at a Division II NCAA Insitution.

3. FB Jackson Acker - Wisconsin

As the New England Patriots signed Reggie Gilliam away from the Bills, they signed fullback Jackson Acker, as per Aaron Wilson to fill his position as the new starter in front of James Cook. Acker is a durable, Midwestern-style fullback who has played in 50 games since 2021.

The 6-foot-1, 250-pound grinder is exactly the type of fullback the Bills need, boosting the idea that he can succeed in this vital position.

He is the one undrafted free agent with a solid chance to make the opening-day roster, as the Bills really need a starter at fullback and help for Josh Allen on their famous "Tush Push Play."

4. OT Da'Metrius Weatherspoon - Syracuse Orange

The Bills stayed in New York State with the signing of offensive tackle Da'Metrius Weatherspoon from Syracuse, as per Ryan Talbot.

At 6-foot-7, 320 pounds, Weatherspoon is a big man with long arms for an NFL offensive tackle. Weatherspoon was durable, making 10 starts as Syracuse won 10 games with a win over Washington State in the Holiday Bowl.

In 2025, he moved over to right tackle and started all 11 games for the Orange. His one start was at left guard as the Orange was hit with an injury bug that started with quarterback Steve Angeli being out for the year in a 34-21 win over Clemson.

This adds more competition to the swing tackle position as the Bills already drafted Jude Bowry out of Boston College at pick No. 102 of the draft.

5. OL Bruno Fina - Duke

Besides his last name that needs no introduction, the Bills signed offensive tackle Bruno Fina from Duke, as per Sal Capaccio.

For those who didn't know, he grew up with his Hall of Fame dad, John Fina. He was picked 27th overall in the 1992 NFL Draft and was a staple at left tackle during the Bills' four consecutive Super Bowl run. At 6-foot-5, 300 pounds, Fina can play tackle, but can also kick over to guard, where he might be better suited in his NFL career.

Fina will be added to the swing tackle competition along with Weatherspoon and Bowry.

All five of these undrafted free agents should keep their chins up and hold their heads high, no matter what, because they are given a second chance to show off their talents on an NFL team hoping to earn a roster spot.
